Hi everyone,

Someone called this my first manifesto. I just call it a bunch of stuff I wrote down. Manifesto sounds entirely too important for someone like me to write at this point in my life, Memo sounds like Tom Cruise and the word “Report” kind of makes me sick. It could be a Guide but then I just get this bad image of myself with some type of ugly hat and a badge talking to a bunch of people with eager looks on their faces hoping I’m going to lead them to the Holy Grail….which I’m not.

So, I haven’t figured out what to call it yet – maybe “A Very Short History of One Person’s Journey to Figure Out How to Make Money…Without Getting Caught in the Details and Going Crazy…So She Can Play More.”

In any case it tells the story of why I hung out my shingle 4 years ago, the path I took (circuitous and long), what I’ve learned about myself and what it takes to get what you really want in your life and your business. It also includes scads of free information, ideas and resources to design the kind of lifestyle that feeds YOUR mind, body and soul.

This is for entrepreneurs or want-to-be entrepreneurs who like things simple and easy, who on some level feel called to do their work, who aren’t afraid of hard work and who aren’t looking for the overnight success and the quick 6-figure payoffs that seem to be promised so cavalierly these days.

Put another way, I will not be sharing how easy it all is, giving you tips that will help you pull in $60,000 in one night and how you will never have to do any work you don’t like anymore…unless of course you are going to hand me a winning lottery ticket. If you have one of those, I have some ideas on how to make this a whole lot easier.

If you are in the process of building an “empire” and it doesn’t feel fun or right to you, this may well be worth a read. If you currently have an “empire” and want to take it down a notch so you can go back to focusing on all of the things that inspired you to start your own business in the first place – the “work”, time for yourself, time with your family and more money to spend as you please – then pull up a chair and get comfortable.
